Safer Roads & Trails Campaign: Be Smart. Be Safe. Carry ID.
Every year there are upwards of a half-a-million people who arrive unconscious in an
emergency room in the United States, unable to tell doctors "who they are, anything
about their medical history or the prescriptions they may be talking." Some of those
are triathletes like you or I, who have been injured while running or cycling, and don't
have any form of identification with them.
The folks from "Shoewallet" launched their "Safer Roads and Trails Campaign"
yesterday, which will include a series of radio ads across the country. Their solution, of
course, is to utilize their product when you're out training. Regardless of the product
plug, the point is well taken - we should be training with some form of ID with us!
